When selecting a vehicle, you can either choose a car that’s available for delivery to an address of your choice or choose a car that's available for pickup from a Ford dealership. If you selected a vehicle that’s available for pickup, you’ll have another chance to review the name and address of the dealership before completing your reservation, and we’ll send you a reminder with this information before your appointment.
Grab your driver’s license when you head out the door for your pickup appointment. Note that you’ll need another form of photo ID if you’re currently using a temporary license. You (the primary driver who reserved the car) must be present for the pickup. If you are unable to attend yourself, let us know so we can reschedule. We recommend setting aside about 45 minutes for the appointment, but it’ll likely be much shorter. Since everything is already set up with Canvas in advance, there won’t be anything to worry about in terms of being “sold” something during the pickup.
Once you arrive at the dealership and notify the representative that you have an appointment to pick up a Canvas car, they will confirm your identity by checking your ID. Together, you will inspect the vehicle and photograph its condition so that you don't have to worry about any pre-existing wear - however minor it may be. They’ll verify the number of keys and amount of gas in the car. After you confirm the condition, number of keys, and the amount of gas, you’ll be on your way!
With the appointment complete, we’ll process any outstanding charges or refunds if there have been any changes to the vehicle, mileage plan, or subscription terms you chose when you reserved the car. When your subscription comes to an end, you can rollover your subscription on a month-to-month basis, or you can return the car to the dealership.
If you have any questions during the appointment, you can pause and contact Canvas support. We’re happy to help!
